Welcome to Outburst, an annual queer arts festival and creative initiative for Northern Ireland!
OUTBURST aims to celebrate and showcase queer art, music, film, performance, theatre and writing from both local and international artistes.
Our first festival in Nov. 2007 was a huge success, check out the programme HERE.
OUTBURST 2008 will be happening from Nov. 13-22nd.

OUTBURST CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!
We know from chatting to festival-goers that lots of you are keen to get involved in the festival on a creative or organisational level.
So...we are opening the committee to new members! We are looking for volunteers with a passion for creativity, a great positive attitude, lots of ideas and most importantly, the time and commitment to see a professional level festival through to November and beyond.
The basic commitment will be a monthly meeting (usually about 2 hrs, with biscuits), a couple of hours worth of tasks between meetings, helping out at events, publicity etc. We're particularly keen to get people on board who have experience in fundraising, marketing, publicity and organisation, though it would also be a great learning opportunity for anyone with an interest in arts event development and organisation, so if you've just got oodles of enthusiam and drive, that's okay too. We're an upbeat and positive collective of diverse queer folk, so it should be great fun as well as occasional hard work.
