Both original and incredibly romantic, Redwoods tells the story of an already-partnered man whose love is tested when a mysterious drifter passes through his small Northern California town. Everett (Brendan Bradley) and Miles (Tad Coughenour) are in a comfortably platonic relationship, which is held together by raising their son.
While his family travels out of town, introverted Everett finally has time to himself, that is until Chase (Matthew Montgomery), a striking writer, pulls up in front of his house. Shot amidst ancient Redwoods, David Lewis’ (Rock Haven) film is a stunning ode to the power of love.
PLEASE NOTE:
Redwoods is replacing the previously advertised J’ai Tue Ma Mere, which will not now be screening on the 19th. Apologies for any inconvenience caused, the film has just been longlisted for an Oscar Nomination and so the limited copies of the the film are needed elsewhere to support that. Our partners at Belfast Film Festival and QFT will try to get the film for us to screen at a later date and we’ll let you know about that, it’ll be worth the wait
Unfortunately we have had a last minute problem with securing the screening of ‘I Killed My Mother’ we are working hard to find an equally brilliant replacement. Look out for it in QFT in the not to distant future it is fantastic – just been longlisted for best foreign language film in the Oscars. Sorry – but we will get something great to replace it ! Michele and Cian
Sounds lovely – what date and time is Redwoods on?
Sorry bout that Joe, full info up top of page now
